A story of our journey on the heart transplant list.
Poor Peter :o( It's horrible when they can't get access and you end up black and blue. On a lighter note, he looks like he has marshmallows stuck to his hands and I LOVE the bracelet! Was that a little person who made it for Daddy I wonder? ;o)xxxx
Yup, Nicole made it for daddy when he came out of hospital. She told him the other day 'daddy you dont still have to wear it you know'those are rather large cotton wool balls lol.
Gah, poor Peter! Needles are just the WORST things ever! My brother had the same problem too. His veins kept on collapsing and he was poked and prodded endlessly. His hands were always a lovely purple colour! But I agree with Emmie; thhe cotton balls *do* look like marshmallows...yummy! ^_^ Peter's such a trooper! And your little Nicole's a darling for decorating her Daddy's wrist with such a beautiful bracelet!
we were looking into finger prick testing at home for him, but the machine costs over £200 and the strips are about expensive as well. plus his hands are always cold so even that doesnt work sometime.
